Airdrie Pickleball Club Code of Conduct
APC has adopted the following Code of Conduct regulations to ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all:
Learn and play by the official rules of pickleball as set out by the USA Pickleball Association (USAPA) and supported by Pickleball Canada and Pickleball Alberta.
Always display good sportsmanship while playing and observing – win with modesty and lose with dignity.
Show respect, fairness, integrity, honesty, and transparency to all players, opponents, partners, officials, coaches, volunteers, guests, and community members.
Refrain from any behaviour that constitutes harassment – defined as comments or conduct that are offensive, abusive, racist, sexist, degrading, or malicious.
Refrain from using profane language or gestures during or after play.
Strive to make correct line calls, but when in doubt, call the ball “in.”
Dress in safe and appropriate attire and footwear; avoid clothing with offensive logos, designs, words, or phrases.
While play is in progress, limit distractions such as entering courts or creating unnecessary disruptions.
Stop play immediately whenever an unsafe situation arises (e.g., stray ball, wet courts, player injury) and offer assistance when reasonable and able to.
Behave in a manner consistent with APC’s mission and values – lead by example, show self-control, and treat others with respect.
Disciplinary Action
Failure to abide by this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action by the APC Executive, as outlined in the Airdrie Pickleball Club Bylaws and Policies
